Cezanne Copy - Apples + Pears by artisticTaurean Cezanne Copy - Apples + Pears by artisticTaurean
For the final for painting class, we had to copy a painting by an artist from the Impressionist or Post-Impressionist periods (or from 1890-1950, if we went to MoMA) hanging in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I chose Still Life with Apples and Pears by Paul Cezanne. I kind of wish I hadn't in hindsight, because it was HARD to pull off. The general shapes are right, though. Done in acrylic paint: We can't use oils in the school because the school lacks the proper ventilation, and acrylics dry SO fast. I'd like to keep painting, it's a lot of fun. ^_^

Wow, it's cool! Especially the fruits, I can see the similarity to Cezanne's style :)
