Mucha-ish Meckenzie -n- Reilly by artisticTaurean Mucha-ish Meckenzie -n- Reilly by artisticTaurean
OKAY.

So, for my 20th Century Art class, we had to either do a presentation or draw something in the style of an artist from the periods we studied. I chose Alphonse Mucha, because I love his illustrations. I used Primrose and Feather (have seen conflicting names for it) as a reference and drew Meckenzie on the left and Reilly on the right. (Reilly in a DRESS!)

The colors are FAR too bold for me to really call this a good Mucha-style drawing. It's also really light on embellishments. Also, ignore the possibly incorrect French. XD;; Supposed to say "Fire" and "Light", but they were looked up on a French-English dictionary and I'm not sure if the usage is exactly right. I actually might make the outlines a little bolder.

Colors happened because I was trying to decide if I wanted to go warm/cool or complimentary, and I went with the latter. The background in Reilly's panel and the "halo window" in Meckenzie's were the hardest parts for me to figure out. I really wanted some kind of design behind 'Kenzie and thought about putting her pendant back there, but it looked really out of place.

Prismacolor markers and pencils. Had a set of pencils just laying around. Turns out using them in conjunction with the markers REALLY helps with blending. :D

Anyway! Reilly and Meckenzie are mine and all that.
